Goodbye Old Wood Stove!

In September, I bought a new Country Stove wood stove. Our old wood stove was too big, and frankly, it scared me. It was a DIY job hubby did when he bought this place in the early 80's. I was even more frightened when I found out that the chimney pipes were original to the house.

Today, the installation began. The removal of the old wood stove, and chimney pipe, and I'm having river rock put on the corner walls behind the new wood stove.

This is the corner and wood stove before picture. I will post pictures as it progresses...it is expected to be a 3-4 day job with the river rock and new tile on the hearth.
